steppin’ out: family photo shoot edition

These aren’t technically Steppin’ Out Saturday photos, as they were taken on Friday morning in a little photo shoot courtesy of our very sweet baby-sitter. In addition to being the go-to when Mikey and I need a date night, she is also a budding photographer and was brave enough to chase Natalie around with a camera for a morning.

Honestly? It was kind of a disaster. Natalie was in an absolutely terrible mood, and was about as cooperative as you’d expect a tired 14-month old to be. But somehow we got quite a few frameworthy pictures out of the deal (and it was a deal, lemme tell ya). Here are a couple of my faves:

On Mama:

White tee: Victoria’s Secret, Reny’s

Bottoms: Levi 545 (my favoritessss right now!) & a pair of shorts I picked up at Reny’s

Shoes: Kenneth Cole Reaction, TJ Maxx

On the Moo:

Polo: Ralph Lauren
Khakis: Old Navy
Shoes: No clue

On the budgie:

Dress: TJ Maxx
Shoes: Wal-Mart
Hairbow: gifted Goodwill!

  1. Ugh I know how you feel with wee ones not wanting to get their pics taken. My little man usually LOVES to get his picture taken, but at his last monthly photo session he wouldn't cooperate at all. It was so frustrating! Those highlight pics came out really cute thought! Your sitter's got some skillz!

  2. Beautiful photos!! That sounds like one heck of a babysitter. You get a babysitter and a photographer, Lucky =)I need to get family photos taken but I worry about my little ones not cooperating. Since reading your post it gives me hope that even if they are cranky and hard to handle we could hopefully get some good photos.Loving your blog, I found you via harpers happenings
