steppin’ out sunday: ironic t-shirt edition

Okay, so let’s discuss how impossible it is to get a picture of Natalie actually looking at the camera these days. She is absolutely, 100% on the move! There’s stuff to see and pull at and stomp on and otherwise explore, so standing next to Mommy and having her picture taken is just not on her priority list. Today was no exception–it was all, “Stand next to Mommy!” & “Look at Daddy!” & “Where’s the camera?”

All to no avail.

Also? All of that focus on getting Natalie to look somewhat in the direction of the camera apparently meant that I needed to smile as big as I possibly could. In every picture.

Evidence:

We hurried out to get pictures in front of our (new!) fence just before making a quick trip to buy groceries and then snuck in a walk to Main Street for ice cream. Gifford’s Maine Black Bear ice cream, to be exact. Mmmmm.

On Mama:

Jeans: Levi’s 545
T-shirt: gifted RayGun
Cardigan: NY&Co.
Flats: Payless
Sunglasses: Steve Madden, as usual

On the budgie:

Hat: Children’s Place
T-Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Wal-Mart
Shoes: gifted (JC Penney, I think?)

Umm, can I also mention just how curly my child’s hair is getting? It’s my favorite.

  1. Adorable!! I love her sweet hat! Our oldest daughter went through a phase between 2 and 3 where she made a fish face in EVERY picture, those photo albums are a hoot! You look great and I love your big smile, it's the best accessory!
