I usually keep my professional life off the blog. It’s just good sense, ya know. It’s not like I’m Dooce or anything, but writing all about your worklife on a personal blog has never struck me as a particularly wise move.
But today I’m breaking my rule. Because there is a contest going on that is raising money for the kids I work with. Kids in Midcoast Maine. Kids who survive and thrive despite pesky little things like poverty and family drug abuse and sky-high local teen pregnancy rates. Right now there is a big fundraiser going on to raise money for after-school programming for those kids. It would mean so much to me if you’d take the time to check out the link and pass the information along to others who might be interested.
Here’s the breakdown:
* Raffle tickets are $50 apiece
* Only 500 total tickets will be sold, so the odds of winning are pretty darn good
* The prize package includes airfare, a rental car, hotel, spending money, and incredible day trips and meals

As a little thank-you for reading & helping me promote this worthy fundraiser, I’m going to offer up a onesie apiece to 2 lucky readers who are willing to share information about the raffle (including a link directly to the giveaway website or to this blog post) via blog, facebook, or twitter. Leave a comment below letting me know that you passed the information along, and I’ll randomly draw two winners sometime early next week. You can enter up to 3 times, so share the information in as many ways as you can–just leave a separate comment for each entry. Thanks, guys!
