I can hardly wait for Christmas this year! I am completely in the holiday spirit, and am counting down to the big day. Of course, it’s a good thing it’s not quite Christmas yet as Mikey and I still have to fill out and mail alllll of our holiday cards. Oops. But what I have lacked in card-writing motivation I believe I have made up for in zealous gift-wrapping. Yes, the Bowdabra has gotten quite a workout this season. Admire its handiwork, won’t you?
I love the look of presents under the tree, so shiny and neat. Many of these have already been shipped out to their recipients, but it was awfully fun to have a room full of gifts for a while. I can’t wait until Christmas morning when we’ll get to hand out the rest!
– a good night’s sleep, free of 3am trips to the bathroom
– the ability to lay on my side and not have my hips go numb
– a self-massaging lower back
– lung capacity greater than what it takes to walk half a flight of stairs
Seems like it’s not asking much, right? But I don’t think Mr. Claus has much say over what this pregnancy does to my body, so I may have to put those dreams on hold until mid-March. In the meantime, I’m going to spend this time of winter magic feeling thankful for all the wonderful things pregnancy has brought me: every kick and flutter; an excuse to sit back and relax; moments of reflection and anticipation; a new bond with Mr. Moo; newfound respect for my body’s capabilities; getting to share the news with excited family and friends. I can’t believe that this will be our last Christmas without baby moohoo, and I want to enjoy every minute of it!
